Ask:Understanding that no specific type of autism can be diagnosed through this medium, and that symptoms to be listed could be from other health issues besides autism, please give you best assessment as to the most likely type of autism these symptoms define.

Memory: Bad short term memory makes reading difficult, but able to memorize passages through repetition, as well as numerical sequences, even years later.

Speech: Generally good pronunciation, but often mangles syntax of speech and self corrects, which can confuse those listening. Speech is worsened when before an unfamiliar audience, so anxiety could be a possibility. Often loses place in speech.

Intelligence: Above average but is mostly good at abstract thought; finds most other subjects highly difficult to grasp. Usually is better at devicing theories than understanding them.

History: Data might be insufficient, but suspects may have suffered mild seizures, and under-nourished self growing up, though never starved.

Answer:
I’m very much aware that autism can manifest itself in a wide variety of forms — nevertheless, the symptoms you relay don’t seem to indicate autism at all.

Generally speaking, autism deals with interactional difficulties: difficulty understanding tone of voice or body language, inability to understand the perspective of another, ritualized and repetitive behavior patterns, etc.

I freely admit I could be mistaken, but it sounds to me that you’re describing someone with undiagnosed Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) exacerbated by stressful situations.
