In retrospective, and based on a Houston Chronicle article that said thimerosal (mercury preservative) was in not just MMR, but HIB and hepatitis B, I was able to pinpoint the day my son became a screaming 18-hour a day child to his 2-week old shot with mercury in it.

When he got MMR, DPT and polio one month after having chicken pox and an eardrum rupture, he totally withdrew from our world. He had no startle reflex and we thought perhaps the vaccine caused him to be deaf. He had positive mercury levels in both hair and blood samples. Any mercury in your body is toxic. Although they are taking it out of the MMR and others like it, they are keeping it in the flu vaccine which they recommended to guess what? pregnant women and children.

It is 67 times the level of what mercury is in a serving of tuna fish, yet they tell pregnant women to limit their consumption of tuna. Now that we are shipping our vaccines with thimerosal to third world countries, suddenly autism is popping up there. Not all autism is caused by the same thing. Some forms of autism are from different things. There is Rhetts syndrome which is found typically in female children which has an identifiable genetic marker. Currently prevailing theories are genetic tendency with biological trigger.

I know some people who have allergies or yeast overgrowth in their bodies who have been diagnosed with autism. I think some of it is better diagnosis, but not all of it. In fact, the first cases of autism that Leo Kanner brought to the attention of the world, someone recently went back and traced these cases to families that had some kind of mercury exposure, in one case, mercury was being used in a pestiscide. The father was a chemical engineer.

There is great evidence when you look at graphs of when thimerosal was introduced into vaccines in the US to that of Great Britain and the graphs correlate with the same curve. We found it necessary to remove it from animal vaccines in 1992, but did nothing about our children’s vaccines? Some of it is also that it has become a “spectrum” disorder where I think the cases back in 1995-1997 were more of “classic autism” so that increases the rate.

There is a study by Dr. Raymond Palmer from University of Texas that linked the areas where there were coal plants to increased amounts of special education students, most especially autism. What is so special about coal plants — one of the emissions is mercury. And recent Gov Rick Perry of Texas wanted to fast track 15 new coal plants.

My question to him is they are doing a poor job educating the kids we have and he wants to create more children with more educational problems? Unfortunately my child has more problems than just autism (mild hypotonic CP, MR, dyspraxia, seizure disorder) but I think if he just had an autism diagnosis, he would be much better now. Here in The Woodlands, back in the 1998-2000, there were a string of births of children born without brains (who obviously didn’t live long– anencephaly is the condition). I was told by that group that this community was built on a dump.
