Autism can not, I repeat can NOT be cured. Anyone who tells you otherwise has been fooled. I don’t mean to sound harsh but many people don’t seem to realize that autism is too big of a part of who you are. People who claim to be cured have really just progressed further.

Children with autism are not destined to be mute/retarded/slow forever. It is not a miracle when an autistic boy speaks. He is just developing (however slowly) like any other autistic child. Autistic kids still learn, have fun, read, comminicate, everything they can.

Those “recovery stories” are full of lies. Those children are just as autistic as the day they were born. Just because they’e learned to mimick others, or have memorized every repsonse to a “small talk” question, does not mean a miracle has happened.
