Because,autism is not nescesarily something that needs treatment. It could just as well be a normal condition, but beacuse it is not a condition of the majority, it is taken as some thing that needs treatment.

The state of mind in autistic people doesn’t indicated any desease or disorder. It only indicates a difference and we need to learn to accept differences as being normal.
