A very simple terminology to describe autism will be ” psychological disability of infants and children , sometimes carried forward to adult hood”.

But there are too many variations. Some children even though brilliant are speech less. Autism can get combined with mental retardation and / or physical disability.

In the most classic cases of autism the children are well formed attractive with speech disability. People found traces of autistic characters in mainstream persons also.
