Neighbor’s story of autistic children

October 22nd, 2007

About 4 months ago new neighbors moved in. They are quite messy, and leave large items in their back yard. They have an 8 year old autistic son who is quite unruly. He stays outside all day, and often late into the night. I’ve heard him out there at midnight before.

My problem is that is a very large, strong boy, and he throws huge things into my yard. I find something almost every day. I have found a grate to a bar be que, heavy metal poles, frying pans, a large metal tank, etc. I have a small dog, and I actually worry about my dog’s safety. Furthermore, he often throws chocolate diet shakes into my yard that are open. One day he will probably kill my dog if he keeps throwing chocolate at her. This morning I found a huge butcher knife.

I’m at my wits end. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve spoken to the parents, and they have no intentions of making any changes. My niece was supposed to come stay with me this summer. I doubt I will be able to let her play outdoors for fear of her safety.
