There have been reliable studies done showing a link between pitocin given to induce or speed up labor and autism.

It is important to remember though that correlation does not equal causation.

Some researchers believe that the child would have been born with Autism with or without the pitocin, but that the the need for the pitocin may indicate a problem.

why use it when you dont have to? It is the most widely abused drug in the US used in the vast majority of births.
