Can Training Cure Autism?

December 1st, 2007

Training can not “cure” autism completely. For now, there’s no medicine, program or training can guarantee a “cure” of autism. But, the training can help children with autism develop their communication and language skills, social skills, self-help skills, leisure skills, etc.

Many children with autism could live a independent life after grown up by the training. Although they’ll still have some of the autistic symptoms, but the force of autism can not separate them from the society any more. However, the number of autistic children that could have a normal life after grown up is very small, and, these children always have been well trained.

The training is the most effective way for the treatment of autism so far. It has been proved that children with autism could work in the society like the normals if they have been well trained.

If they are not trained, as time goes on, autistic children will have more and more serious problems, including behavioral issues, sensory issues, emotional issues and so on. They could be isolated by the others for having autism, and that will make them more autistic.
