Autism Recovery Chances
December 6th, 2007According to The Mental Health Institute, 10% of children with autism can recover and come back to mainstream. Recovery means that these kids are indistinguishable from their peers. Their disability no longer impairs them from having a normal life. Because of the age of autistic children get diagnosed is around two years old now which is much earlier than before, so the chance of autism recovery is improved to 20%, not including those children who have autistic signs at 2 years old but grow up to normal kids naturally at 3 or 4 years old. Early intervention can make dramatic progress, even prevent autism.
Programmes such as ABA, the DAN! protocol, toilet training and CFCF intervention has maximized the potential of autistic children. And there’s many new researches going on, so the hope of recovery is great. Just don’t give up.
