If a baby cannot talk after two years old, people might begin to concern that whether he has this kind of mental developmental disorder, called autism. Autism is something you are born with, it shows symptoms around two or three years old, and it’s not curable for now. It can only get better through trainings and learnings. Here’s a list of some characteristics of early autism for self-testing. If you are suspicious that your child may have autism, and his behaviors matches several of the follows, please get a formal diagnosis as soon as possible.

1. Don’t play with other children, and communication difficulties.

2. Beef-witted about sound and language.

3. Hate learning.

4. Don’t have proper understanding of danger, such as playing with fire, running on the street or climbing too high.

5. Never change a single habit.

6. Don’t like to talk. Prefer gestures than words.

7. Often simle without an obvious reasons.

8. Don’t sleep crouched like most babies, but sleep with stiffly straight legs.

9. Unusually energetic. Sometimes wake up at the midnight, keep playing to the next morning, not feeling tired.

10. Avoid any eye contact.

11. Have special interests in certain stuff, never change.

12. Like rotating circular objects. Keep repeating one same movement.

13. Play some dull games day by day, such as ripping paper, or rolling rocks in a canister.

14. Lonely. Don’t fit in.

Answer each question with yes or no. If there are more than 8 yeses. It means the child has an autistic tendency. This is only a simple home autism test, for formal diagnosis, please get a professional test.
